RS participates in SMM

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) will be a participant to SMM-2016, international trade fair for shipbuilding, machinery and maritime technology to be held on September, 6 – 9 in Messe Halle, Hamburg, Germany.

RS will present at its stand all key activities, including classification and survey of ships under construction and in service, approval of materials, products and services for the maritime industry, as well as development of the RS Rules. Following the previous exhibitions FAQ review, the RS specialists are ready to inform about peculiarities of survey in industry and the documents issued upon the results thereof, as well as cover the issues of interaction during construction of ships to the RS class.

Nowadays, the RS is closely associated with the ice class ships, sophisticated icebreakers, tankers, gas carriers, ice-resistant technologies for offshore oil-and-gas field development. Thus, special emphasis on the RS stand will be placed on technical support during construction of ships and offshore installations intended for operation at extremely low temperatures.

In 2016, Global Maritime Environmental Congress (GMEC) will be held within the SMM framework, involving over 700 leading representatives of the industry, government, scientific community, fleet, tourism and environmental protection.
