RS business agenda at NEVA-2021 exhibition

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) participates in 16th International Exhibition on shipbuilding, shipping, offshore and ports – NEVA-2021.

RS Booth will traditionally be the meeting area of clients and business partners for exchanging updates and discussing the topics of mutual interest. Within three days – from 21st to 23rd of September 2021– RS will be offering a series of brief sessions and seminars. One of those will be about IT products to be launched by RS in support ship design. Specifically, a new software tool ODYSSEY for hull structural calculations against RS rule requirements will be presented. There will also be the presentations of the software-based system for plan approval and newly upgraded configuration of section “RS Publications” on the website.

Several more presentations will be to share some updates on classification of ships in service, with detailed clarifications to be offered for the remote survey procedure and electronic certificates, autonomous ships and cyber-security.

The main event by RS will be a conference “RS. Open dialogue with the industry” logically sequential in the series of similar meetings with clients. Conference will cover the key aspects of RS service improvement in view of moderm demands in shipbuilding, as well as RS rule changes – effected and forthcoming. A special focus will be given on the expert development in LNG technology, novel design approvals and equipment certification. There will certainly be the floor for straightforward discussions and views sharing during the conference. All the interested parties such as design offices, yards, vendors and operators are warmly welcome to attend.
