The lead light-tonnage fishing seiner Apacha of project 04130 was launched from the production site of the Research and Production Center Torsiotest, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The ceremony took place on August 31, 2023.
The customer behind the project is the largest fishing enterprise in the Kamchatka region – the fishing collective farm named after V.Lenin. The vessel is built to the class of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS). Class notation: KM(*) IceI (hull; machinery) R2 AUT3 Fishing vessel.
The seiner is designed for catching and transporting raw fish in the cargo hold in bulk to the shore factory for further processing. The project was developed by the design bureau FORSS Technologies, St. Petersburg, and has its construction costs covered by the investment quota program.
The length of the seiner is 26.45 m with an 8 m beam, a side height of 3.65 m, draft - 2.2 m, 441 kW of DG power and a cargo hold with a capacity of 90 cubic meters. The vessel will be serviced by a crew of seven people.
Alexander Gorbunov, Head of the North-Eastern Branch of RS, noted that "the launching of the new seiner is a significant event for the region. This is the first vessel to be built at Kamchatka shipyards in 20 years. A total of six units of this project are planned to be built at the production site of the enterprise under RS survey".
