RS introduces requirements for machinery of polar class ships

The provisions of the Сhapter are based on IACS Unified Requirements UR I3 (Rev. 2 Jan 2023) and apply to main propulsion, steering gear, emergency and auxiliary systems essential for the safety of the ship and the crew.

The updated document details requirements for the calculations of ice loads and design parameters of propulsion system elements as well as introduces requirements for steering gear control systems for all polar class vessels.

RS surveys all container types, including tank containers and offshore containers, confirms compliance of packaging for dangerous goods, as well as renders services on the declaration and certification of dangerous goods and bulk cargoes.
