Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 44th session of the Joint Meeting of Experts on the Regulations annexed to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (ADN). RS was represented by Sergey Legusha, Senior Principal Surveyor of the International Affairs Department.
The event was held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, from August 26 to 30, 2024.
The Committee finalized a set of amendments to the ADN Regulations, having corrected minor errors identified during the intersessional period in previously approved documents. The revised text was formally submitted to the Joint Meeting of Experts on the Regulations annexed to the Convention concerning International Carriage by Rail (COTIF), the Regulations annexed to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road and the Regulations annexed to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (RID/ADR/ADN).
The RID/ADR/ADN Joint Meeting evaluates amendments developed under the three international instruments and prepares outcome materials that are to come into force on January 1, 2025.
The 45th session of the Committee is scheduled for January 27-31, 2025.
