Experience of Shipboard Shafting Torsiography Using the Existing Measuring Means and Methods

The many-years experience of experimental studies of torsional vibrations of the shipboard power plants in the Far East Region using existing methods based on American optical and electromagnetic sensors is summarized in the article. The advanced computer technologies were applied for processing torsiograms. The article contains the analysis of possible interferences and distortions in vibrations measuring as well as recommendations for their elimination.
