The article gives the brief history of the first floating nuclear power plant project and describes the firms engaged in this unique project. The article contains the specialists’ grounds for the practicability of low-power nuclear power plants development and demonstrates their importance for the energetic system of our country. Possible locations of future floating nuclear power plants are also indicated.
