Development of Physical Model and Calculation Method for the Parameters of Low Frequency Ice-Induced Vibration of the Supership Hull
The article offers a physical model of interaction of the hull of an ice class supership with a compact ice and a broken channel made by an icebreaker. Proceeding from the physical model thus developed, a method for calculating the low frequency vibration of a ship operating in ice conditions is suggested. This method is applied to vibration analysis of a prospective supership of ice category Arc4. The results obtained indicate the possibility of wide application of the method for design vibration analysis.
