Parametric Diagrams for Cargo Non-Shiftability Assessment and Cargo Securing Calculation at Rolling

A procedure for calculation of forces acting on the cargo at resonant rolling in regular sinusoidal waves is suggested. The non-shiftability conditions for cargo kept in place by friction force alone are considered and a procedure for determination of the shear force is recommended. The calculated results are represented graphically in the form of parametric diagrams which may be used for operational evaluation of cargo arrangement and securing on board.
