Recommendations on Structure of Ice Ship Safety Certificate and RS Methodological Instructive Regulations on Its Development

The article contains a retrospective performance review on the development of Ice Ship Safety Certificate (Ice Passport), as well as the analysis of regulating and technical documents requirements for the content of such document. It is noted that the concept of the Ice Passport structure has been formed among the ice ship design and operation experts. For the majority of domestic ships and a number of foreign ships, the ice passports have been developed by the experts of the Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute (AARI) and the Central Marine Research & Design Institute (CNIMF), and which are used for the ship operation practice. The ice navigation experience is the basis for the verification.
