Improving the Activities of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping in Newbuilding

The article gives reasons and substantiations for the RS management decision on establishing the specialized Shipbuilding Division within RS. The Shipbuilding Division activities have been specified in compliance with the actual scope of the national shipbuilding financing by the government, as stated in the relevant federal goal-based program. The review of the world economy current preferences for shipbuilders and shipowners in different countries is of particular interest. Examples of possible RS participation in such preferences are given for the case the Government and the State Duma of the Russian Federation take relevant resolutions
