Modernization of Meteorological Data Transmission System in VTMS "Vysotsk"

The article presents the VTMS "Vysotsk" modernization results, substantiating the use of the wireless communication line as the most economical system. Besides, the locations for meteorological data transmitters' installation, information indices (transmission range and velocity) have been determined which enable the use of the communication line for transmitting video information using the compression protocol MPEG-4. Energy calculation for the radio line has been made being the basis for the data transmission equipment selection
