Experience of Scientific Research Ship AKADEMIK TRESHINKOV Construction to the Register Class

The article covers the background for the decision to construct a sophisticated scientifi c research ship for operation under harsh climatic conditions of polar regions. The period has been considered from the feasibility analysis up to concluding the contract on the ship construction and the agreement on the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping technical supervision of the ship construction, cooperation of parties to the construction has been reviewed.
