Extension of the Register Distinguishing Marks for Ships of Restricted Area of Navigation

The article contains information on the extension of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping distinguishing marks, namely, the introduction of a new distinguishing mark for restricted area of navigation R2-RSN(4,5) into Rules for the Classifi cation and Construction of Sea-Going Ships. Principal tasks have been set to be solved for implementation of the suggested amendment. As far as the task of hull strength calculation is concerned, formulas have been given for reduction factors obtained in the first approximation.
