Horizontal Ice Loads Acting on Freeze-In Facilities

It is noted that the facilities freeze-in, especially in addition to horizontal loads, is insufficiently reflected in the standards. The article describes development of assessment method of loads acting on freeze-in facilities. Action of pull forces at rear sides of supports, as well as ice formations, ice collars, increasing ice/facility contact area and, accordingly, loads, is considered.
