Risk Assessment of Subsea Piping on the Seabed Under Seismic Loads

Main pipelines shall be of high reliability under construction and in operation, their main criterion is technical and environmental safety. The pipelines' stability under hydrodynamic conditions in extreme situations is reviewed. When developing algorithms for structural analysis regarding the spatial per-formance, it is necessary to assume from the non-linear mathematical model completely reflecting the structure adaptation to strong earthquakes. The nature of actual behaviour of a structure, its resistance to strong earthquakes enables to trace the behaviour of the structure at all operational stages from elastic deformation to complete destruction.
