Oil spill risk analysis for the Baltic Sea

Oil spill risk analysis is given for the Baltic Sea. Dependence of risk level on route-specific intensity of tanker traffic is demonstrated. Factors contributing to high risk of oil spills are reviewed. Increasing number of oil spills is forecast in the next 5-7 years.
