Evaluation of vapour pressure increase in storage of LNG cryogenic ship tank

Authors: V.A. Pavlovsky, M.V. Vlasiev
Abstract

The paper analyzes the basic thermal characteristics of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in the cryogenic tank, depending on the duration of its storage. Valuation of the vapour pressure intensity increase in the cryogenic tank has been carried out. The paper contains example of the calculation of the vapour pressure changes depending on the time when LNG storage tanks of different capacity and different insulation qualities.
Keywords: liquefied natural gas (LNG), fuel storage tanks, cryogenic tank, vapor pressure, thermodynamics.
