Forecast of rolling and pitching parameters of emergency offshore facility during damage control in storm conditions

Abstract

The paper describes practical method to predict the facility motion parameters of damaged marine vessel required to assess operating dynamic stability margin when the accident is accompanied with the progressive flooding as well as the crew's shipboard damage control action followed by flood adjacent of the watertight compartments and tanks intended for providing the damage vehicle survivability. The proposed method is based on a nonlinear mathematical model of the damaged craft motions, which efficiency is validated by the model experiment.
