Abstract

The analysis of Russian and foreign normative and technical documentation (NTD), the existing rules of foreign classification societies (FCS) in part of crossing of the designed offshore subsea pipelines (OSP) with previously laid pipelines, electric cables and the analysis of shore crossings of the OSP routes are carried out in the research work. The experience of domestic and foreign contractors in the design, and construction of the said crossings has been studied. A draft of the requirements for crossing of the OSP with previously laid pipelines and electric cables and also the OSP landfalls to the shore section of the route has been developed for inclusion into the text of Chapter 8.2, Parti of the Rules for the Classification and Construction of Subsea Pipelines [6] and Chapters 3.5 and 3.7 of Guidelines on Technical Supervision during Construction and Operation of Subsea Pipelines [7].

Keywords: normative and technical documentation, subsea pipeline, subsea electric cable, crossing of subsea pipelines, subsea pipelines landfall to the onshore section of the route, cofferdam, horizontal directional drilling.
