Principles of Activities of Shore-Based Emergency Response Services with Regard to Strength Limitations
The present article contains the principles of establishing and functioning under RS technical survey of shore-based emergency response services capable of performing calculations of damage stability and residual strength. Among these, data base access at any time; special calculation programmes; calculations for a particular ship with regard to its actual condition and loading; as well as residual strength calculations based on the ship’s data on hull damage and calculations of damage stability based on the actual information concerning flooded spaces; development of recommendations for unloading and righting providing the strength and stability retention and the ground effect reduction.
