The Development of Requirements for Ensuring Electromagnetic Security on Sea-Going Ships
It is known that technogenic electromagnetic emissions (EME) affect the human body. This problem is of great importance on sea-going ships where during long voyages the crewmembers are exposed to influence of EME generated by the ship’s various powerful industrial-frequency electrical equipment. At present the normalization of EME on ships covers the radio-frequency band only and relates to the above-deck spaces. The article substantiates the necessity of the development of requirements for ensuring electromagnetic security in all frequency bands and introduction of such requirements into maritime normative documents.
