Proposals for correcting the RS requirements to large motor-sail ship stability assessment

Abstract

Based on theoretical and experimental research, a practical algorithm is suggested for assessing the stability of large power-sail rigged ships. Recommendations are presented on specifying particular paragraphs of Part IV "Stability" in RS Rules for the Classification and Construction of Sea-Going Ships.
