Analysis of seismic risks associated with the operation of pipelines laid on the Caspian Sea bottom

Abstract

It is noted that damage to subsea pipelines due to seismic effects results in ecological disasters. Therefore, structural and technological parameters are to be taken into consideration during the design to increase the seismic resistance of subsea pipelines. Calculations of seismic risks associated with the operation of piping laid on the Caspian Sea bottom were made. Pipeline strength calculations are based on classical methodology and numerical simulation considering the totality of design loads to be applied, border line conditions and pipe resistance parameters.
