Abstract

This paper is dedicated to refinement of the procedures for the appointment of local ice loads based on calculation and experimental methods. The methodology for determining the local ice loads on the ice-resistant structures, based on the calculated generalization of results of specific model tests carried out and more precise pressure dependency tracing, is introduced. An algorithm for determining the parameters of the local ice loads with the use of high-precision mathematical models of the finite element method has been developed. Calculation approbation of the ice pressure distribution calculated recovery procedure on the nature of the measuring window of a physical model is conducted. This can significantly improve the distribution accuracy of the ice pressure registered field.
Keywords: ice load, finite element method, sensors, ice-resistance structures.
