Abstract

To ensure the functional reliability of the ship's technical equipment, the selection of the maintenance method during its operation is an important point to consider. For technical equipment, two types of maintenance are acceptable: based on actual operating time and based on actual condition. Maintenance based on actual operating time is performed according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Maintenance based on the actual condition — in accordance with the requirements for monitoring systems of technical condition, according to the regulatory documents of and IACS unified requirement (UR) Z27. The article presents the results of vibration monitoring of ship technical means in operation. The obtained results of vibration monitoring as applicable to the main propeller column, the propeller motor, and the tanker cargo pump have been evaluated on the basis of the recommendations of various classification societies and current GOST Standards: RS, DNV GL, and GOST 10816 series . The authors' proposals on regulating the vibration of the main propeller columns of marine ships have also been presented.
