Abstract
The article considers the specifics of modern approaches to the construction of optimal control systems for ship power plants based on fuzzy logic and fractal analysis. In order to design an effective management contour of the ship power plant, it has been proposed to use synergetic mechatronic systems based on intelligent technologies. Those are based on fundamentally new properties that make more effective solution of management problems possible with the help of fractal analysis of time series to improve the adequacy of forecasting by in-depth analysis of the causes for crises. Practical aspects of fractal analysis have been analyzed using of a two-stroke engine, supercharged and air-cooled, as an example.
Keywords: fractal analysis, ship power plants, control, fuzzy logic, time series, trend, Hurst index.
