When conducting technical supervision at shipyard, RS carries out:

Classification survey of ships and offshore installations under construction for compliance with the requirements of the RS Rules and on behalf of other classification societies.
Survey of ships and offshore installations under construction for compliance with the requirements of international codes and conventions on behalf of maritime administrations.
Cooperation arrangements with maritime administrations of flag states, shipowner associations and shipping companies on the matters of RS technical supervision of ships and offshore installations under construction.
Cooperation arrangements with parties concerned that are involved into the ship building to the RS class (shipyards, expected shipowners, the RS services’ suppliers).
