Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the first meeting of the Intersessional Working Group on Development of Technical Provisions for Safety of Ships Using Alternative Fuels (ISWG-AF 1).

Specialists of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) supported the Russian delegation in preparing a set of documents to the International Maritime Organization (IMO) with a proposal to include provisions on the transportation of apatite concentrate into the International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code.

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 44th session of the Joint Meeting of Experts on the Regulations annexed to the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (ADN). RS was represented by Sergey Legusha, Senior Principal Surveyor of the International Affairs Department.

RS informs its partners and clients that Member Authorities of the Tokyo and the Paris Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) on Port State Control will launch a joint Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) on Crew Wages and Seafarers’ Employment Agreements (MLC, 2006). The Campaign will likewise be conducted by member Authorities of the Indian Ocean Memorandum of Understanding and Memorandum of Understanding on PSC in the Black Sea Region.

At the request of the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 2024 Asia-Pacific Regional Dialogue on Sustainable Maritime Connectivity. The event, timed to coincide with the 46th Pacific Maritime Transport Alliance Conference, was organized by the Transport Division of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) in cooperation with the Pacific Community and the Fiji Ports Corporation.

Representatives of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 10th session of the Sub-Committee on Implementation of IMO Instruments (III 10) as members of the Russian delegation.

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 65th session of the UNECE Working Party on the Standardization of Technical and Safety Requirements in Inland Navigation (SC.3/WP.3-65) as a member of the Russian delegation.

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) has published a new version of the Rules for the Classification and Construction of Ships Carrying Liquefied Gases in Bulk. The updated Rules came into force on July 1, 2024.
