RS Nuclear Ships Branch celebrates its 55th anniversary
Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) is celebrating the 55th anniversary since the establishment of the Nuclear Ships Branch. On June 16, 1969, Order No. 100 of the USSR Minister of the Maritime Fleet marked the creation of the USSR Register Inspectorate, located in Leningrad, which was to perform the functions of state surveys over the design, construction and operation phases of nuclear-powered vessels.
