Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 30th session of the Technical Group on the Evaluation of Safety and Pollution Hazards of Chemicals (ESPH 30) that operates under the auspices of the IMO Sub-Committee on Pollution Prevention and Response (PPR Sub-Committee). The session was held in London from 14 to 18 October 2024. Mr. Alexey Serov, Senior Expert of Rules Development Department, took part in the meeting on behalf of RS.

A representative of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 1st meeting of the International Maritime Organization’s (IMO) Intersessional Working Group on the Comprehensive Review of the International Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW Convention) and the STCW Code – one of IMO’s priority issues.

As members of the Russian delegation specialists of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 82nd session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC 82), held from September 30 to October 4, 2024, at the of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Headquarters in London.

Following their adoption at the 110th Session of the International Labour Conference on June 6, 2022, amendments to the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006) are scheduled to take effect on December 23, 2024.
