The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) participated in the 20th meeting of the Intersessional Working Group on the Reduction of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions from Ships of the IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC). The meeting was held at the IMO headquarters in London from October 20 to 24, 2025.

As part of the India Maritime Week, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 2025 Asia-Pacific Regional Dialogue on a Sustainable Maritime Connectivity: "Navigating Uncertainty, Advancing Together" organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

A delegation from Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS), headed by its Director General, is actively participating in India Maritime Week (IMW), the country's largest and most significant industry event.

The 2nd extraordinary session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee, attended by representatives of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS), placed the future of shipping decarbonization firmly in the spotlight. Delegates considered a sweeping package of amendments to Annex VI of the MARPOL Convention, designed to set the industry on course toward net-zero emissions.

From October 14 to 17, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) will convene the 2nd extraordinary session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) at its headquarters in London. Consistent with its ongoing role, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) will be represented within the national delegation.

As a member of the Russian delegation, Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) contributed to the international efforts on maritime standardization during the 13th meeting of the IMO Expert Group on Data Harmonization.

Representatives of Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) joined the Russian delegation at the 11th session of the IMO Sub-Committee on Carriage of Cargoes and Containers (CCC 11).

Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) took part in the 46th session of the Joint Meeting of Experts on the Regulations annexed to the European Agreement Concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterways (ADN) – the ADN Safety Committee.
